fpcciISLAMABAD: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Friday urged upon China to enhance investments in energy and infrastructure of the country, besides taking steps to facilitate Pakistan get benefits from Beijing's economic boom.

"Pakistan's future is tied to the highly successful and economically powerful China; we need to know more about each other and find similarities," Chairman Coordination, FPCCI, Raza Khan said.

Khan was speaking at a farewell as well as welcome reception hosted in honour of the outgoing Director Visa Section, embassy of China in Islamabad Xiang Shan and incoming Director Visa Section Guan Zhongqi respectively.

Raza Khan said that Pakistan and China are bound together through various bonds and the friendship would grow further in days to come.

"Our relations are more enduring than trade and political ties, our hearts beat together, and we will continue to work together to advance ties for a better future," he remarked.

Other Chinese diplomats including Askar Tursan and Jiang Yinpeng, Chinese Muslims settled in Pakistan and leaders of business community were also present on the occasion.

Raza said that our cultures are different yet we are incomplete without each other therefore Chinese people and businesses need to expose them more to Pakistanis for a better experience, closer interaction, and endearing friendship.

He said that the conduct of outgoing diplomat is an excellent example of the people who have contributed to the development of close relations hoping that the incoming official will work tirelessly for this noble cause.

On the occasion, Xiang Shan assured that China will continue play a key role in Pakistan's development while Guan Zhongqi said that although he was is new in this country but was highly impressed by the depth of the friendship, love and devotion of Pakistanis.

Askar Tursan said that both the nations and people must continue to cherish shared ideals while enhancing economic and cultural interaction and Jiang Yinpen said that people of both the countries should enhance friendship to lead the world to peace and prosperity.
