China should enhance energy investment in Pakistan: FPCCI

Energy_SectorISLAMABAD: Chairman Coordination, Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), Raza Khan, on Friday said Pakistan and China are bound together through various bonds and our friendship is to grow further in days to come.

Our relationship is more enduring than mere trade and political ties, our hearts beat together, and we will continue to work together to advance ties for a better future, he said.

He was speaking at a farewell reception hosted at his residence in honour of the outgoing Director Visa Section, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Islamabad, Xiang Shan, and to welcome incoming Director Guan Zhongqi. Other Chinese diplomats including Askar Tursan and Jiang Yinpeng, Chinese Muslims settled in Pakistan and leaders of the business community were also present on the occasion.

Raza Khan said China should enhance investments in energy and infrastructure of Pakistan and take more steps that benefits Islamabad from Beijing’s boom.

He said that our culture is different yet we are incomplete without each other therefore Chinese people and businesses need to expose them more to Pakistanis for a better experience, closer interaction, and endearing friendship, he demanded.

Pakistan’s future is tied with China and we need to know more about each other and find similarities, he said, adding that improved translation technology can help bring people of the two brotherly countries together.

Raza Khan said that the conduct of the outgoing diplomat is an excellent example for the people who have contributed to the development of close relations hoping that the incoming official will work tirelessly for this noble cause as well.

On the occasion, Xiang Shan assured that China will continue to play a key role in Pakistan’s development and exchanges will be augmented.
