COLOMBO: Sri Lanka's central bank kept its policy rates unchanged on Friday, saying improved supply conditions will help to ease headline inflation further.
"Having taken into consideration the continued decline in headline inflation as well as other macroeconomic developments, the Monetary Board....decided to maintain the Bank's policy interest rates at their current levels," the central bank said in a monthly policy report.
The repurchase rate was left at 7.00 percent and the reverse repurchase rate at 8.50 percent, in line with a Reuters poll.
