MQM announces peaceful protest over Karachi violence
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), announced that its members in Sindh Assembly (MPAs), will stage a protest march against recent violence in Karachi, from Karachi Press Club to Sindh Chief Minister's House here, on July 8.
This was announced by member Rabita Committee, Raza Haroon in a press briefing to media personnel at MQM's headquarters in Azizabad here Thursday.
He made this announcement after a joint meeting of MQM Rabita Committee held simultaneously in London and Pakistan.
Raza Haroon said staging peaceful protest is our democratic right and we intend to pursue policy of peace.
He said we express sympathy and absolute solidarity with affectees of recent violent incidents that took place in Orangi town, Qasba Colony, Gulfamabad and other areas in the city.
