KARACHI: While presiding over the monthly review meeting here Wednesday, Sindh Minister for Excise and Taxation, Mukesh Kumar, said that his department collected 13 percent additional tax as compared to the target.
He said Rs2764.355 million was collected far by the department while the target was Rs20138.300 million for calendar year 2010-11.
The meeting was told that the department collected Rs2906.387 million in the head of Motor Vehicle Tax, Rs2915.748mn Excise Duty, and Rs16548.829mn Infrastructure Tax including bank guarantees, Rs162.139mn Cotton Fee, Rs228.370mn Professional Tax and Rs141.182million Hotel Tax.
Secretary Excise and Taxation, Manzoor Memon, Director General Excise and Taxation, Shoaib Siddiqui, and others were also present at the meeting.
