LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 39.72 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5295.00 points and closed at 5334.72 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.20 million shares to close against previous turnover of 921,400 shares, showing a downward slide of 278,600 shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips 42 moved up, 3 shed values and 40 remained equal.
The top three Major Gainers of the day were Exide Pakistan Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 16.39, Rs 11.59 and Rs 8.44 respectively.
Nimir Industrial Chemical Limited, K-Electric Limited and Silkbank Limited (Saudi) were among top three, which lost their per share value by Re 0.17, Re 0.12 and Re 0.03 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included K-Electric Limited with 177,500shares, Fauji Fertilizer Company 153,600 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 95,500 shares.
