Administration fines 105 retailers for violating official price list

KARACHI: Around 105 retailers of edible items were fined of Rs.128,500 for violating the official price list during the ongoing crackdown against profiteers, said commissioner of Karachi, Shoaib Ahmad Siddiqui on Tuesday.

Sharing the details of the campaign on daily basis with the local media he said those fined included 49 milk sellers, 19 grocers, 12 chicken sellers, 15 green grocers and 10 fruit sellers.

Siddiqui said the crackdown against profiteers, adulterators and hoarders would continue in the city till the menace is eliminated for good.
