LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 100.99 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 4954.93 points and closed at 5055.92 points.
The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 1.894 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.656 million shares, showing an upward move of 234,600 shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips 29 moved up, 6 shed values and 50 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Exide Pakistan Limited, Mari Petroleum Company and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 18.36, Rs 13.12 and Rs 8.00 respectively.
Engro Fertilizer Limited, Askari Bank Limited and Pakistan Telecommunication Limited lost their per share value by Re 1.00, Re 0.33 and Re 0.23 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 618,500 shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 268,500 shares and Askari Bank Limited with 211,000 shares.
