SHANGHAI: Chinese shares fell 0.22 percent in early trade Friday on concerns the central bank may soon increase interest rates as it battles to control stubbornly high inflation, dealers said.
The Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was down 5.98 points at 2,756.10.
