NEW YORK: The US 30-year Treasury bond expanded its loss to a point on Monday after the US Treasury sold two-year notes.
The 30-year bond was briefly down a point, before trimming its loss to 30/32. Its yield stood at 4.24 percent, versus 4.19 percent late on Friday.
The 30-year bond remained the underperformer for the day. It had already been down quite sharply before the auction amid some talk of a trade in the long end being unwound.
