LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 29.47 points as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5150.21 points and closed at 5179.68 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.504 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.554 million shares, showing a downward slide of 49,800 shares.
While, out of the total 97 active scrips 22 moved up, 12 shed values and 63 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Packages Limited, Glazo Smith Kline Pakistan Limited, Engro Foods Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 15.10, Rs. 7.24 and Rs. 4.60 respectively.
Shell Pakistan Limited, Muslim Commercial Bank Limited and Bank Al-Habib Limited lost their per share value by Rs. 11.50, Re 0.86 and Re 0.45 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 285,000 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 250,500 shares and National Bank of Pakistan with 137,000 shares.
