DEPALPUR: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affair and Gilgit-Baltistan Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo said on Monday that PPP government had allocated huge development funds for next fiscal which would help raise the living standard of the masses.
The development programmes, sagacious economic policies and people-friendly initiatives of the government would result in huge victory of PPP in next general polls, he said while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Rs 60 million Rata-Khana road project and a reception hosted in his honour by a local farmer Dr Eiman ur Rehman here.
Highlighting the PPP government achievements, Wattoo said the government was taking concrete steps for poverty alleviation, providing financial assistance under Benazir Income Support Programme and number of other initiatives of the government including provision of electricity and gas, construction to roads, health units and creation of job opportunities.
Moazzam Jehanzaib Wattoo, Malik Nazar Farid Khokhar, Qazi Zargham ul Haq, Mian Sajjad Ahmed Wattoo, Rana Gul Nasir, Abdur Rashid Bhatti, Mohabi ullah Khan, Sana ullah Khan and other dignitaries also spoke on the occasion.
Prominent farmer of the area Mohib ullah Khan announced joining PPP on the occasion which was welcomed by the minister.
