HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares fell 0.78 percent by the break on Monday following heavy losses on Wall Street and on growing concerns about a slowdown in the Chinese economy.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index shed 174.39 points to 22,245.98 on turnover of HK$28.99 billion ($3.72 billion).
