According to the Times of India Bollywood actor Arjun Kapoor revealed the only love affair he ever had was with Salman Khan’s sister Arpita.
In a recent interview with the Times of India Kapoor opened up for the first time about his relationship with the superstar’s sister.
The 28-year-old, who will next be seen in ‘2 States’ co-starring Ali Bhatt, said he started his “first and only” relationship at the age of 18, when Salman was shooting for his film ‘Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya’.
Speaking to the Times of India, Kapoor said, “I was scared of Salman bhai and went and told him and the entire family as I wanted them to know from me first. They were very kind about it.”
Kapoor expressed his admiration for Salman, saying the latter supported him even after the 'Gunday' actor and Arpita parted ways following a two-year-long relationship.
“He was taken aback, but he respects people and relationships,” he told the Times of India.
“Even after breaking up, I would hang out with him. He was my friend, my father-figure, older brother, everything at that point. He was an older brother I never had and he made me realise how important it is to have an older brother.”
He also quashed the rumours of having a relationship with his “2 states” co-star Alia Bhatt, saying they are only close friends.
