LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 111.64 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5040.56 points and closed at 4928.92 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.224 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.424 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.200 million shares. While, out of the total 103 active scrips 13 moved up, 23 shed values and 67 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were SME Leasing Limited, Punjab Modaraba 1ST, and Engro Fertilizers Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Re 1.00, Re 1.00 and Re 0.93 respectively.
Mulsim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, and Glaxo Smith Kline Pakistan Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.77, Rs 1.50 and Rs 1.11 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 932,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 201,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 186,000 shares.
