LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 29.27 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5022.99 points and closed at 5052.26 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.424 million shares to close against previous turnover of 4.959 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.534 million shares. While, out of the total 105 active scrips 12 moved up, 25 shed values and 68 remaine equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Samba Bank Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited and Dewan Farooq Motors Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Re 1.00, Re 0.55 and Re 0.25 respectively.
Engro Corporation Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 6.80, Rs 1.60 and Rs 1.54, respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 1.811 million shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 476,500 shares, and Byco Petroleum Pakistan with 242,500 shares.
