LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday bullish trend by gaining 45.06 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5046.95 points and closed at 5092.01 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.642 million shares to close against previous turnover of 2.856 million shares, showing a downward slide of 214,500 shares. While, out of the total 116 active scrips 45 moved up, 9 shed values and 62 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Engro Corporation Limited, Oil and Gas Development Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 10.15, Rs 7.33 and Rs 3.97 respectively.
Netsol Technologies Limited, Samba Bank Limited (R1), and Lafarge Pakistan Cement lost their per share value by Rs 2.12, Re 0.28 and Re 0.21 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 432,000 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 353,000 shares and Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 332,000 shares.
