LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 38.07 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5209.56 points and closed at 5171.49 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 4.016 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.569 million shares, showing an upward move of 447,700 shares. While, out of the total 115 active scrips 14 moved up, 30 shed values and 71 remained equal.
The major gainers of the day were Pakistan Refinery Limited, Cherat Cement Company Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.03, Rs 3.86 and Rs 3.52 respectively.
Gul Ahmed Textile Mills, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Engro Fertilizer Limited lost their per share value by Rs 3.00, Rs 2.00 and Rs 1.94 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R1) with 989,500 shares, Byco Petroleum Limited with 832,000 share and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 752,500 shares.
