imagePESHAWAR: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has said that with the grace of Allah Almighty the government's measures has started yielding positive results as people across the province have acknowledged this fact.

He expressed these views while addressing public meeting held in connections with the joining of known political personalities of Khanpur Raja Ejaz Akhtar and Raja Qasim along with their hundreds of associates to PTI here in Ayub Manzil during his visit of Haripur.

The chief minister said the purpose of the provincial government of PTI was not to make claims like rulers of the past and the people themselves should acknowledge the good impacts of the steps taken by it for changing the rusted system.

He said the joining of new people into PTI is ample proof of its better performance and growing popularity in the public.

Speaking on the occasion, Pervez Khattak welcomed them into PTI fold and expressed the hope that they will strengthen the hands of the provincial government in rooting out corruption and bringing fair, transparent and judicious system in KP as per expectations of the people.

He said the govt is initiating unified educational system in the province under which the children of poor will get the same education, which was the prerogative for the children of rich only. The new system, he said, will abolish the British introduced class-based education system and prevailing difference between rich and poor would also go for good in the society.

Announcing developmental measures for Haripur, he said that due to by-election he did not announce funds for development of the district. He assured that not only small and medium development schemes in the area would be completed on priority basis, but mega projects would also be initiated.

On the request of former provincial minister Yusuf Ayub, the chief minister also announced the construction of Haripur-bypass road.

Meanwhile, the chief minister met different delegations including lawyers, traders, industrialists, teachers, shopkeepers and people from other walks of life in Haripur, which briefed him on their problems and demands.

The chief minister while talking to delegation of Distt Bar and Insaf Lawyers Forum led by Javed Tanoli and Babar Khan Advocate, commended the role of lawyers' community in the strengthening of democracy and restoration of judiciary.

On the demand of the delegation of All Traders' Association under the leadership of its president Raja Hafeez, the chief minister besides allotting office in TMA Plaza for the association, also announced a fund of Rs.0.7 million for its office furniture and another amount of Rs.2 million for installation of close-circuit cameras in the local bazaars.

Similarly, talking to delegation of Haripur Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the chief minister said that not only Hattar Industrial Estate is being rehabilitated rather effective measures are also afoot to attract domestic and foreign investors through provision of cheap electricity and other attractive incentives to industries in the province.
