WARSAW: US President Barack Obama issued a new condemnation Saturday of the "unacceptable situation" in Belarus and accused President Alexander Lukashenko of showing a "total disregard" for democratic values.
Speaking during a visit to neighbouring Poland, Obama slammed "the unacceptable situation" in Belarus.
"President Lukashenko has shown a total disregard for democratic values, the rule of law and for his own people," he told reporters.
