LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 34.74 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5212.31 points and closed at 5247.05 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.562 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.972 million shares, showing a downward slide of 2.410 million shares. While, out of the total 131 active scrips 47 moved up, 20 shed values and 64 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Mari Petroleum Company, Highnoon Laboratories Limited and Kohat Cement Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 7.92, Rs 5.45 and Rs 5.25 respectively.
Engro Foods Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation lost their per share value by Rs 3.77, Rs 1.67 and Rs 1.10 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 310,500 shares, Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 270,000 shares and Dewan Salman Fibre Limited with 106,000 shares.
