imageJAKARTA: Indonesia aims to attract $32.8 billion in foreign direct investment this year, the investment board said on Tuesday.

The board said that in 2013, the country received foreign investment commitments of 270.4 trillion rupiah, which is equivalent to about $22 billion at the current exchange for the rupiah.

The currency weakened more than 20 percent against the dollar in 2013. For 2013, increases in FDI were led by utilities, transportation and mining.
