Over 12mn cotton bales reach ginning factories

MULTAN: Over 12,882,963 cotton bales reached operational ginning factories of the country by January 15, which is 7.16 percent more than that of the same period last year.

According to a report of the Pakistan Cotton Ginners Association (PCGA) on Saturday, factories have ginned 12,773,867 bales. However, the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has not yet started purchase of cotton. The report said exporters had purchased 338,538 bales while the textile sector obtained 11,016,089 bales.
