MOSCOW: Moscow will ship 11.5 million tonnes of crude oil to Belarus in the first half of next year, the Russian government said in a statement on Saturday.
Belarus had said earlier it hoped to get a total of 23 million tonnes of oil next year from Russia.
The agreement was reached during a meeting between Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and Belarus First Deputy Prime Minister Vladimir Semashko, according to the statement.
Russia ships, duty-free, around 20 million tonnes (147 million barrels) of crude oil a year to Belarus as a part of a customs union agreement.
In turn, Belarus exports oil products, duty for which is diverted to Russia's budget.
The two countries are seeking to patch up trade ties after a row over the arrest of the head of Russian potash maker Uralkali in Minsk in August.
The government said also in the statement that supplies of natural gas and coal to Minsk will have been agreed by the end of this year.
Minsk is seeking 22.2 billion cubic metres of natural gas from Moscow next year.
