LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 67.23 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4199.56 and closed at 4266.79 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.466 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.725 million shares, showing a downward slide of 259,300 shares. While, out of the total 83 active scrips, 26 moved up, 50 remained equal with 7 shed values.
Engro Corporation Limited, Attock Refinery Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 4.62, Rs 4.15 and Rs 3.17 respectively.
Flying Cement Company Limited, Poineer Cement Limited and Lotte Chemical Pakistan lost their per share value by Re 0.11, Re 0.05 and Re 0.04, respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Faysal Bank Limited with 333,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 223,000 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 126,500 share.
