LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 83.40 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4340.60 and closed at 4424.00 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.509 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.300 million shares, showing a downward slide of 790,700 shares. While, out of the total 84 active scrips, 32 moved up, 47 remained equal with 5 shed values.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Pakistan Petroleum Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 5.30, Rs 3.55 and Rs 3.00 respectively.
Engro Foods Limited, Askari Bank Limited and Byco Petroleum Pakistan lost their per share value by Rs 3.84, Re 0.27 and Re 0.12 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 792,500 shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 375,000 shares and Faysal Bank Limited with 353,000 share.
