LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 11.95 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4579.22 and closed at 4591.17 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 4.126 million shares to close against previous turnover of 5.181 million shares, showing a downward move of 1.055 million shares. While, out of the total 103 active scrips, 40 moved up, 40 remained equal with 23 shed values.
Lucky Cement Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Glaxo Smith Kline Pakistan were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 12.18, Rs 5.46 and Rs 4.55 respectively.
Mari Petroleum Company, National Bank of Pakistan and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim lost their per share value by Rs 8.54, Re 0.97 and Re 0.67 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 1.044 million shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 675,000 shares and Lafarge Pakistan Cement Limited with 439,500 shares.
