ISLAMABAD: The demand of vermicelli is on rise in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi due to fast approaching of Eid-ul-Fitr.
Vermicelli is a traditional type of pasta round in section that is thicker than spaghetti.
A shopkeeper of Melody market while talking to APP said that the demand of the vermicelli is increasing fast. Several shops and stalls have been set up in the twin cities to serve vermicelli to the customers.
The shopekeeper said that the vermicelli on the morning of Eid was essential as it is liked by most of the people.
All the bakeries also provide vermicelli to their customers.
The vermicelli manufacturers also increase the production to facilitate the consumers on Eid-ul-Fitr.
Rashid Ahmed, a senior citizen said his family likes vermicelli on the Eid morning because due to its unique taste.
He said that now most of the people consume other dishes but vermicelli is still one of the most liked items.
