KARACHI: Bangladesh can meet its shortage of rice and wheat by importing these commodities from Pakistan.
This was stated by Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat ul Ebad Khan while talking to High Commissioner of Bangladesh, Sohrab Hussain who called on him here on Tuesday.
The Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Karachi was also present during the meeting.
Governor Sindh was of the view that the two countries should take advantage of the opportunities existing in the field of trade and industry.
He said that many industrialists from Pakistan had set up textile units in Bangladesh.
Dr. Ishrat said that potential is also available for the Bangladeshi industrialists to invest in Pakistan.
He also spoke of the close friendly relations between the two countries.
The High Commissioner of Bangladesh thanked the Governor of Sindh and invited him to visit his country.
