LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on the day of presentation of the federal budget 2013-14, witnessed bullish trend by gaining 41.43 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4636.71 and closed at 4678.14 points here Wednesday.
The market's overall situation also corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 10.342 million shares to close against previous turnover of 5.896 million shares, showing an upward move of 4.446 million shares. While, out of the total 106 active scrips, 38 moved up, 45 remained equal with 23 shed values.
Pakistan State Oil Company Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Attock Refinery Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 15.00, Rs 6.17 and Rs 5.69 respectively.
Nishat Mills Limited, Engro Corporation and D.G.Khan Cement Company lost their per share value by Rs 1.95, Rs 1.50 and Rs 1.15 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab (R) with 2.276 million shares, Silk Bank Limited (Saudi) with 1.189 million shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 1.092 million shares.
