Economy, energy top priority of PML-N govt: Ahsan Iqbal

Published Updated

imageISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Ahsan Iqbal on Wednesday said that his party would take effective steps to tackle economic and energy issues and terrorism on priority.

The PML-N-led government will announce incentives for the foreign investors, he added.

Talking to a private news channel, Ahsan said his party had nominated Abdul Malik for the office of Balochistan chief minister in the larger interest of the country.

He said that the people had voted the PML-N to power on the basis of the performance of its former Punjab government.

Replying to a question, he said that his party was capable to form government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, but it accepted the mandate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf there to strengthen democracy in the country.

He said that the PML-N would announce a short cabinet in order to keep expenditures as low as possible.

He urged all the political parties for collective efforts to resolve the issues being faced by the country.
