LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange gained 9.64 points on Wednesday, as LSE-25 index opened with 4140.11 and closed at 4149.75 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.811 million shares to close against previous turnover of 6.544 million shares, showing a downward slide of 2.732 million shares.
While, out of the total 105 active scrips 28 moved up, 59 remained equal and 18 shed values.
Engro Foods Limited, Thal Limited and Adamjee Insurance Company were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 6.54, Rs 4.92 and Rs 3.42 respectively.
Packages Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Company and Pakistan Reinsurance Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.21, Rs 1.70 and Rs 1.11 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 1.133 million shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 452,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 369,000 shares.
