Food dept to procure 495,900 metric tons wheat

FAISALABAD: The food department has fixed 495,900 metric tons wheat procurement target for the division under wheat procurement scheme 2013-14.

A spokesman for the food department said here Friday that 146,600 metric ton wheat would be procured in the district, 98,400 metric ton in Toba Tek Singh, 193,800 metric ton in Jhang and 57,100 metric ton wheat will be procured in Chiniot.

He said arrangements were being finalised to facilitate farmers at procurement centers.
