ISLAMABAD: As many as 65,831 Pakistani were deported from United Arab Emirate (UAE) during the last five years due to different reasons.
In a written reply, State Minister for Foreign Affairs, Hina Rabbani Khar on Wednesday informed the National Assembly that the deported Pakistani either did not possess legal entry visa or failed to legalise their stay in UAE.
She said no foreigner is allowed to enter or reside in UAE without proper travel documents and appropriate entry or residence permit.
The minister, in another written reply told that as many as 966 employees of ministry of foreign affairs were posted in diplomatic missions abroad. Out of the total, 271 employees are in BS-17-22 grade while 695 are in BS1-16 grade.
She said the sanctioned strength of officers (BS17-22) in Missions abroad is 308 while in the case of officials having BS1-16 is 715.
