ISLAMABAD: The strike of the staff at the CDA hospital continued on the fourth consecutive day on Saturday against the expected transfer of Executive Director Dr. Satti
According to details, Executive Director at CDA hospital has been proposed to be transferred while the CDA has issued directives to appoint another senior doctor in the same hospital who is currently deputed at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
As a result of the prolonged strike, most of the work at the hospital came to a standstill. The patients were also facing immense hardships due to the strike as the doctors are not attending patients for more than one hour.
The staff warned that the strike would continue till the orders of the expected transfer of Dr.Satti is withdrawn, while the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has not taken any concrete steps to resolve the issue as they believe that the Executive Director was possibly transferred in conformity with the service rules.
Earlier, the staff held a demonstration to have their demands met.
They were holding banners and placards inscribed with slogans against the proposed transfer of the ED.
