Bruno-Mars-publishKARACHI: Bruno Mars’s album “Unorthodox Jukebox”, which debuted in December, finally jumped up to number 1 last week, due in part to Amazon’s one-day $1.99 sale. His song “When I Was Your Man” also occupies Billboard’s top 10 Digital Songs Chart, with Taylor Swift’s "I Knew You Were Trouble", Justin Timberlake’s "Suit & Tie", will.i.am and Britney Spears’ "Scream & Shout" and Demi Lovato’s "Heart Attack" among others.

By a wide margin, he left behind Radiohead singer Thom Yorke's debut Atoms for Peace “Amok” at number 2. Mumford and Sons currently sits at number 3 for their passionate poetic “Babel”. Meanwhile, rap duo Macklemore and Ryan Lewis’s “The Heist” shot up 12 spots to number 4, following their "Saturday Night Live" appearance.

These are followed by Hillson United’s “Zion”, the compilation of various artists “NOW 45”, Lumineers’ album by their name and Josh Groban’s “All That Echoes”.

Rihanna once again sets the bar for modern pop with her seventh album “Unapologetic” occupying the ninth spot for its urban feel-good appeal. Last, but not the least is God-gifted Adele’s “21”, standing tribute to the young singer’s surprisingly booming voice.

The top ten might get re-ordered this week since we expect the latest from country star Luke Bryant and a compilation of Jimi Hendrix.
