ISLAMABAD: The demand of the power supply has reached 13,702MW per day and the power generation is 10,700MW, Pakistan Electric Power Company (PEPCO) said.
The electricity shortfall is causing six to nine hours loadshedding across the country, private news channel reported.
Tarbela Dam is generating only 2,662MW electricity after reaching its water reservoir at dead level. Independent Power Producers are producing 6,194MW electricity and 700MW electricity is being provided to Karachi Electric Supply Company.
Meanwhile, the duration of loadsheding has been increased due to intensity of weather in different areas including Peshawar.
