LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in the Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 8.59 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4366.89 and closed at 4358.30 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 5.501 million shares to close against previous turnover of 5.972 million shares, showing a downward move of 471,200 shares.
While, out of the total 112 active scrips 23 moved up, 27 shed values and 62 remined equal.
Shell Pakistan Limited, Engro Foods Limited and Engro Corporation Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 7.07, Rs 5.85 and Rs 5.48 respectively.
Cyan Limited (General), Nishat (Chunian) Limited and D.G.Khan Cement Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.92, Rs 1.55 and Rs 1.08 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included National Bank of Pakistan with 854,000 shares, Fauji Cement Company Limited with 585,500 shares and NIB Bank Limited with 529,000 shares.
