PM calls on President; discuss political situation

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani called on President Asif Ali Zardari Sunday night here at the Aiwana-e-Sadr.The Prime Minister who returned home early Sunday, after a private visit to the United Kingdom, apprised the President about his meetings with the leaders of PML-N Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif and MQM leader Altaf Hussain.

President Zardari enquired about the health of Prime Minister Gilani's son who underwent successful surgery at London and prayed for his early recovery.

The President also apprised him of his forthcoming visit to Turkey. The two leaders also discussed the current political situation in the country.
