Suicide attack hits army convoy in Afghan capital

KABUL: A suicide bomber has attacked an Afghan army convoy in Kabul, injuring three soldiers, two of them seriously, police said Saturday.

"A suicide attacker detonated explosives strapped to his body near an ANA (Afghan National Army) vehicle.

Three ANA soldiers have been injured two of them are in serious condition," Kabul police chief Mohammad Zaher said.

The Taliban and other insurgents in Afghanistan's near ten-year war frequently target the country's army and police forces.
