Power cut at Norway's Ormen Lange gas plant

OSLO: Power to Royal Dutch Shell's Ormen Lange station in Norway was reduced to zero on Thursday due to a power failure on the main grid, the company reported in a message to the Nordic power bourse.

"Ormen Lange power off take reduced, due to power failure in main grid," the message said. "Consumption will be ramped up to normal load during the next 24 (hours)."

According to the message the installed effect of the power station is 200 MW, while production available was zero.
