PARIS: British marketing group Aegis is prepared to spend up to 600 million pounds ($981 million) to fund acquisitions in fast-growing economies and the digital sector, its chief executive told French daily Les Echos.
"We want to expand in three sectors:
Strong-growth regions, Digital and Innovation," Jerry Buhlmann was quoted as saying.
Aegis had already identified several small or medium-sized targets it could buy within two years.
"It is the right time to buy.
The cost of capital is relatively low and acquisition prices are reasonable," he said.
