LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Wednesday as it shed 0.78 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4061.63 and closed at 4060.85 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.675 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.030 million shares, showing an upward move of 644,300 shares.While, out of the total 102 active scrips 25 moved up, 11 shed values and 66 remined equal.
Engro Corporation Limited, Adamjee Insurance Company and Dawood Hercules Corporation were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs. 2.02, Rs. 1.65 and Rs. 1.54 respectively.
Fauji Fertilizer Company, Engro Food Limited and Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim lost their per share value by Rs. 1.76, Rs. 1.15 and Re. 0.22 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 1.008 million share, Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 741,000 shares and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 350,500 shares.
