KARACHI: Profit taking clipped gains in scrips prices of leading scrips as KSE 100 Index recorded a rise of 39.04 points to close at 1,6640.81 points Monday, dealers said.
Trading volume was restricted to 128.251 million shares as 156 scrips advanced while 146 sustained losses and 32 remained unchanged. The market capitalization improved by Rs. 10.3 billion to Rs. 4.155 trillion.
Maple Leaf Cement was the volume leader with 16.118 million shares followed by Fauji Cement 13.585 million shares, Byco Pakistan 8.716 million shares, Jahangir Siddiqui 8.601 million shares and JS Growth Fund 7.005 million shares.
Engro Foods closed at 99.23, NBP 48.82, Byco Pak 13.90, Attock Refinery 164.53 and Maple Leaf Cement 15.92.
Bata Pak recorded the highest gain of Rs. 20 to close at Rs. 1250 followed by Mitchells Fruit which surged by Rs. 15 to Rs. 395 while Rafhan Maize dipped by Rs. 185 to Rs. 3515 and Uniliver Food plunged by Rs. 178 to Rs. 4000.
