Moeed Yusuf says passengers will be sent home without waiting for test results

  • He said they will be tested upon arrival and the test results will be included in the track and trace system.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on National Security Division and Strategic Policy Planning, Dr. Moeed Yusuf has said that passengers will now be tested for coronavirus on their arrival and sent home to self isolate without having to wait for their results.

In a tweet, the SAPM announced a policy and said the test results of the passengers will be added to the Track and Trace system. The provincial governments will be able to follow up to ensure health and safety of passengers and the public.

He further said they plan to repatriate 20,000 passengers by June 10.
