LONDON: Sterling fell to a one-month low versus the dollar on Wednesday dragged lower on selling by a UK clearer and some bets that the Bank of England could ease monetary policy in the near term, traders said.
Sterling fell to $1.6008, its lowest level in a month. Traders said there was demand for short sterling futures, indicating that some investors are probably betting on more monetary easing.
