KARACHI: Shipping activity remained active at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours where four ships carrying containers and butuman were allotted berth at Qasim International Containers Terminal and Multi Purpose Terminal during last 24 hours.
Meanwhile three more ships scheduled to load/offload containers chemical and edible oil also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
Berth occupancy was 65% at the Port Qasim on Wednesday where total number of seven ships namely MSC AL Noof, CGM Ravel, Nedlloyed Mercator, Thor Independence, Genius Star II, Asphait Merchant and M.V Akaki are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, rice, butuman and furnace oil respectively during last 24 hours.
A cargo volume of 109141 tonnes comprising 77779 tonnes imports and 31362 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 2964 containers (Boxed) were handle at the Port Qasim during last 24 hours.
