President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) Mian Anjum Nisar has stressed the need for reduction of mark up, release of export refunds and bringing down the energy prices to give a boost to the country's exports.

The FPCCI President was taking to a delegation comprising of office-bearers of the Pakistan Cutlery & Stainless Utensils Manufacturers and Exporters Association, All Pakistan Fertilizer Dealers Association and businessmen belonging to Gujranwala division here at the FPCCI regional office. He also stressed the need for setting up of laboratories of the international standard to enhance the products' quality for increasing the exports.

He urged the government to take immediate steps for redressing of genuine problems faced by the business community. The power and gas tariff are much higher as compared to the regional countries, he said, adding that the energy is basic raw material for the industry that adds to the production cost. The government if wants to enhance exports must reduce to energy price, he added.
