72,000 metric ton wheat to be purchased in Sialkot

DASKA: Wheat purchase is in full swing at nine wheat purchase centres in Daska, Sialkot, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district.

The Food Department has already finalised arrangements for purchasing over 72,000 metric ton wheat during the current drive.

Food Department sources told APP here on Saturday that the wheat purchasing process was being monitored strictly at all centres to ensure transparency and timely payment to farmers.

The tehsil-wise purchase target is: 17,000 in Daska, 27,000 Pasrur, 8,000 Sambrial tehsil and 19,000 metric ton in Sialkot tehsil.
