ISLAMABAD: Senior leader of Pakistan People's Party (PPP), Asma Arbab Alamgir, has congratulated the workers and members of the party for victory in the Senate elections.
She said: "Victory has proved that the PPP is a famous party of the country."
Talking to a private television channel, she said that election is the only way to judge the popularity of any political party.
The PPP MNA said: "If any political party feels that the Senate elections were not conducted fairly then they can get help from the courts."
She said that the government is confronting many challenges like war on terror or globally economic recession which she added need to be tackled with collective efforts of all the political parties.
Replying to a question regarding funding to Senators for development purpose, she said that there is no harm to provide them funds for socio-economic uplift of their respective constituencies.
She said that Senate elections are the victory of the PPP.
